This wonderful tiara looks extremely delicate but don't be fooled. The plain band sits like a plinth for the arrangement above which is a series of double heart shapes. Within each series is suspended a dazzling diamante crystal. The name, surprisingly, is English in origin and descended from the rustic countryside evoked in the works of Thomas Hardy and means, literally, oats.
