Celebrating the Mass is a publication issued by the Bishops' Conference of England and Wales to assist their dioceses engage with the implications of the new English translation of the 2002 edition of the General Instruction of the Roman Missal.
It is recommended reading for all liturgical ministers - clergy, liturgy preparation teams, musicians - and all of those interested in developing a deeper understanding of how the Church seeks to celebrate the Mass.
In the foreword, Bishop Arthur Roche, Chairman of the Bishops’ Conference Department for Christian Life and Worship writes: ‘Celebrating the Mass will be of great assistance to both communities and individuals as we seek to respond to the challenge, always with us, of seeking how to celebrate the Mass more faithfully, reverently and fruitfully.’
