10 cuttings of Bay Willow, Salix pentandra, ready to plant (25 to 30cm in length)
Bay Willow grows to be a large shrub or small tree usually about 5-10m high. Branches spread in mature specimens to form a broad rounded crown. The bark is greyish and the twigs are generally brown or reddish and shiny. Bay willow leaves are dark shining green above and paler below.
Native to Britain, becomming more common in the north. It usually grows as a riverside tree providing protection to the bank from erosion.
