 | Clive Powell
Born in Knutsford in 1962, now resident in West Didsbury, Clive graduated from Leeds Polytechnic in 1984 with a first class honours degree in illustration and design. During the past 21 years, Clive has worked through a broad range of creative fields, from working as a commercial illustrator for editorials, children’s books, TV, film and advertising, to interior design for the Next Directory, to working internationally on theming projects for the leisure industry, spending considerable time in Japan and the USA.
More recently he has worked with the likes of Disney, designing children’s toys and has also worked on contemporary sculpture and greeting cards for some of the UK’s leading companies. Clive is now devoting his time to the essence of his creative abilities through his artwork.
“The years of commercial solutions have now paved the way to a new creative freedom. I am inspired by many things, from nature’s fine design and colour, to contemporary and classical interiors.”
Clive has featured in numerous magazines including OK Magazine, Real Homes and Cheshire Life and has exhibited and produced art solutions throughout Europe, Asia and North America. |
