We use sign-making grade corian at a thickness of 6mm or 13mm . The corian plaques can be cut to any size. They are hard wearing, weatherproof and virtually maintenance free.

Corian is a mixture of clear acrylic resin, natural minerals and pigments. The mineral content retains some of the properties of real stone such as the cold feel ans substancial weight. Unlike stone Corian is totally consistant with no variation in composition, fault lines or cracks throughout its features.

Sizes and Prices
Prices include 25 characters. Extra letters £2.75 per 25, Letters are sized to fit the plaque.Larger signs have the letters sandblasted into the corian where smaller signs are engraved. Letters are then paint filled with black, white, silver, gold or blue. A line border can be added if required. For signs with letters of 25mm (1 inch) or larger we can blast away the backgound leaving the letters raised and unpainted.

Pictures We can include a simple picture on the plaque. We have a selection of standard images CLICK HERE - the cost for one of these is £2.75. If you want us to use you own artwork it must be a clean silhouette style image (no fine lines or shading) sent as jpg, giff, tiff or png file The cost for this is £16.50.

If you can send your artwork in as an AI or vectorised EPS file for a PC created on Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw we can reduce the cost to £8.25.

Wooden Backing Boards
We can supply wooden backing boards if required. They are usually made in Oak. However we do have Sapele (similar to mahogany) and Iroko (similar to teak). If you want a specific timber, please state on the order form. When finding the price of a backing board you will need to add about 1 " 25mm to the size of the brass. eg  plaque 4" x 6" will need a backing board 5" x 7".
